LINDSEY & AARON SAY "I DO"
As cliche as it sounds, Aaron and Lindsey met at college at the University of Missouri-Columbia. They lived in the same dorm. And although Aaron doesn't remember it, Lindsey knew the first time she met him, outside a big oak tree in front of Jesse Hall, that he was the man she was going to marry.
It took another year (and several boyfriends and girlfriends) for the two to start dating. Three years, one summer spent together in Lindsey's hometown of Milwaukee and one study-abroad trip to London later, Aaron and Lindsey graduated.
Lindsey headed to New York City to pursue her dream of working for a magazine. After a brief stint in Kansas City, Aaron backpacked around India--putting those history and religious studies degrees to good use.
In February 2006, Aaron moved to NYC. The couple moved into a tiny studio on the fifth floor of an old building in the East Village. Four years later, they still live in the same place and have yet to kill each other. They believe this bodes well for their marriage.
It was in that very apartment, on their balcony (also known as the fire escape) that Aaron proposed to Lindsey in October 2009. As an editor at Glamour, Lindsey, of course, blogged about the whole thing. Read her "Engagement Chick" diaries here.
In deciding where to say their "I dos," the couple found it fitting to head back back to Colubmia, Missouri. They'll exchange vows across the street from that big oak tree where they first met.

Getting there
Although there is an airport in Columbia, it easiest—and less expensive—to fly into either St. Louis or Kansas City. Columbia is about an hour-and-half drive from St. Louis and two-hour drive from Kansas City. We recommend renting a car from Enterprise or taking the MO-X shuttle.
